Our Programs

Trinity Church’s PlanBeTeen Program has successfully implemented more than $40 million in Federal, State, and locally funded programs in the areas of adolescent pregnancy prevention (APP) programs addressing positive youth development, healthy relationships, financial literacy, marriage education, and family strengthening, since 2004.

PlanBeTeen has served over 75,000 middle and high school students through partnerships with the Miami-Dade Public School System, as well as community-based and faith-based organizations.

The PlanBeTeen program is designed to help at-risk youth in underserved communities understand a myriad of healthy life choices to facilitate reaching their full potential. Utilizing evidence-based interventions, the PlanBeTeen Program educates youth about the many risks that are associated with engaging in sexual activity such as teen pregnancy, STI’s/STD’s, mental and physical abuse; all of which can lead to dropping out of school and other setbacks entering adulthood.

Personal Responsibility Education Innovative Strategies

The Personal Responsibility Education Innovative Strategies Program (PREIS) is here to support 9th and 10th graders in public schools within Miami-Dade County's highest teen birth rate areas. Our mission is to implement and evaluate an innovative adolescent prevention program, focusing on high-risk, vulnerable youth to prevent pregnancy and STIs, including HIV/AIDS.

PREIS will thoroughly evaluate a unique program that includes the Relationship Smarts PLUS 4.0 (RSP) curriculum. This evidence-based curriculum helps young teens develop relationship skills, life skills, and healthy relationship habits, while also addressing dating violence and pregnancy prevention. Additionally, we offer the Mind Matters curriculum, which teaches trauma coping skills.

Students in our program will undergo a youth needs assessment to screen for adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and receive referrals for support services as needed. They will also have access to group and, when necessary, individual case management.

RSP covers 5 out of 6 Adult Preparation Subjects, and the evaluation will involve a 3-arm stratified randomized controlled trial at the school level. This includes two treatment groups (one receiving the full program and the other just RSP) and a control group.

Healthy Marriage and Relationships Education

The Healthy Marriage and Relationship (HMRE) Project brings you the READY4Life initiative, designed especially for low-income minority high school students in grades 9-12 in Miami-Dade County. READY4Life is here to educate you on the values of marriage, relationship skills, parenting, and economic stability.

Our program uses integrated workshop models with evidence-based curricula like Love Notes 3.0,Mind Matters, Money Habitudes, Preparing Adolescents for Young Adulthood (PAYA), and Skills to Pay Bills. We aim to help you build economic stability and socio-emotional development.

Our long-term goals are to:

  1. Improve family functioning

  2. Enhance adult and child well-being

  3. Increase economic stability and mobility

  4. Reduce poverty

Join READY4Life and take the first step towards a brighter, more stable future!

Sexual Risk Avoidance Education

The Sexual Risk Avoidance Education (SRAE) Program is here to support middle and high school students with evidence-based curricula, including the Love Notes 3.0 Sexual Risk Adaptation Program. We focus on positive youth development, teaching success sequencing, healthy relationships, career preparation, and essential life skills.

Our program promotes social and emotional well-being, screens for adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), and provides goal-oriented group case management for all participants. For those with the highest need, we also offer individual case management.

SRAE serves students ages 13-19, including urban youth, those living in poverty, justice-involved youth, and youth in foster care. We're dedicated to helping you navigate life's challenges and build a brighter future.
